I get a bit of noise around 50mph, goes after 60mph, the steering wheel is also slightly to the left when driving straight, it doesn't pull to the left though, any ideas? Jacked it up for the wobble test but they're solid, has been told previously it could be due to having two different...
Did this a week ago, prepare to be ****** off for around 2-3 hours! I'd recommend starting early, i.e. have nothing planned for the next 3-4 hours. The bumper comes off relatively easy once all screws are out, the grill though was near impossible. I ended up breaking off all of the plastic tabs...
I did it from Manchester to Stafford, around 50ish miles, you should be fine. The main problem is the lack of acceleration so just be careful, if you treat it softly it should pick up a little quicker than flooring it.
Wouldn't been about that yeh. They buffed up the whole car, removed a few scratches and scrapes and refurb'd the wheels for £500, wouldn't say they were amazing but next closest quote was over £1k!
Don't know about approved but I used a small firm called Sprayaway in M18, did a decent job and were pretty damn cheap too - Sprayaway, Car Repairs / Garages / Mechanics, Unit 7 Enterprise Trading Estate Lees Street Gorton in Manchester - 118.com
Otherwise ring a few local places for quotes...
If you mean the bolt the arrow's pointing too that's already off, it's the rubber things labelled a and b I'm struggling with, can't see how they come away. All screws taken out underneath, it's only sticking next to the lights so am pretty sure it's just those rubbery things.
So i've spent the last hour undoing all of the torx screws etc but it's refusing to budge, seems reluctant close to the headlights on both sides, anything i've missed or any tips?
Been following this Fourtitude.com - DIY: front bumper removal and blackout grille install (think i've just...
Cheers guys, might have another look at the weekend and see how it goes. Had a crack on it a few weeks ago but gave up after it started ******* down. Does the car need to be jacked up to get to the screws at all?
As above really, bought the car with a cracked grille last year, now have the replacement part but really don't fancy taking the whole bumper off in case I scratch it, can anyone recommend a decent small/cheap bodyshop near central Manchester to do the job? Been quoted around £100+vat which...
I'd stick to your guns for now and see what they offer, they should have picked it up though really, especially if they forced a regen.
Worst case scenario they refuse to help, just have it deleted for circa £500.
I'm probably wrong but my 2.0TDI(170 though) revved up to around 3k-4k(might be lower but not near the car to check at mo) revs before changing automatically, since the remap it'll go a fair bit closer to the redline. Not a sure fired way, plus depends on when it was done as there are many varients.
Done at BVR automotive near Stafford, had a few issues with a duff sensor shortly after it was done but it's been fine now since November when it was done. The main difference is that it revs quite a bit higher (it's the s-tronic) and generally seems quite a bit quicker. Can't say i've noticed a...
