I found they do make a big difference to front end grip, especially during the warmer months of the year, with very little discernible loss of ride comfort.
If anyone is after a set of the wider alloys for their 8P RS3 I have a great set for sale - just posted in the For Sale thread (sticky) !!
Hi everyone,
I sold my RS3 last March and am now selling a great set of 4 original RS3 alloys.
These include the very rare wider front alloys which are in fantastic condition if I say so myself !
They are currently on Ebay too :

I also agree with the cop btw ... and if I ever have to (after a quick double flash of the lights doesn't work), I will try and cruise past slowly on the inside lane. That way it looks like your not speeding up (or angry) with no sharp manoeuvres. It also makes the point that there was plenty...
Ha ... that happens to me too, quite often ! (Leeds to Manchester and back)
There's so many 50mph limits on the M62 at the moment, your mpg will be well into the 30's on such a cruise !
The remaining mpg on the dash display changes as you travel along (it must work it out on current mpg ?)
I...
No problems here either ... I find it best to just keep it at full flow until it clicks off and then finish.
If I try to trickle feed any more in, then it will just keep cutting out so I don't bother.
No, not anymore ... there has been a big "scandal" regarding the recent lease deal offers on them.
Basically some lease companies were advertising and offering personal leases whereas VW FS subsequently (after around 1200 orders !!) said that the offer was for sole traders and business...
Yeah... I've heard of quite a few unmapped cars turbos going too ... new S3 and the Golf Mk 7 R.
Apparently VAG have now revised it and this fault should only affect earlier models.
A similar problem was experienced by a lot of Mk 6 Golf R drivers with their DSG gearboxes ... the common denominator seemed to be cornering. It happened so rarely though we put it down to just a DSG quirk. I had it about three times in 3 years. The general opinion was that something...
Hurry up with those Michelins John ! :sm4: .... I'm eagerly awaiting your comparison, especially as you have experience of both the 235's and 255's on the front
I've not had any problems with my front brakes since the upgrade touch wood (and over 6000 miles on them now) but will...
I think you're stuck with this one ... I doubt anything will affect the way the car downchanges to 1st. It has to do it at some stage afterall.
The only real times I notice this trait is entering roundabouts when it can occasionally change down to 1st just as I want to go !
On the plus side...
I really really really hope you're wrong :( ... but it seems latest reports are hinting at this :banghead:

Brake Upgrade thread here just in case you've not seen it :

Note the ".B" in the photo on the spider ... which is the upgrade.
A few more thoughts :
1. Check it has had the brake upgrade done. If you are buying from an Audi dealer this should be easily sorted if not.
2. Check the alloys are genuine OEM Audi.
3. Running costs should be a pleasant surprise (insurance quotes are usually very low, tax is low and and...
