I've managed to source some inexpensive but very decent winter tyres for my 8V S-line. They are the same tyre size as the all weather tyres fitted by the factory (225/40 18). I am considering buying a second set of alloys (used) to put the tyres on, rather than have to pay £80+ every winter...

I've had my A3 SB for a couple of months now, just wondering if anyone has managed to remove a front seat head rest yet? There are no buttons on the side (like my previous VAG cars) and the bezels on the top of the seat don't squeeze or turn... I have a 7ft flat box to accommodate (2ft wide)...

Sheesh.....£95 and it STILL won't fit properly with the boot floor at its lowest setting due to the protruding corners. I'll get my scissors out and hunt down some kind of thin rubber or equivalent on a roll I think. Seriously, £95 for a boot mat that isn't fully fit for purpose. Extortion...

Nightmare.....opposite to the MMI on my A6 then (which I've just sold!). It's a good job I have another 3-4 weeks to wait for the new A3, I might just "unlearn" years of programmed MMI hand action!

Toby - I reckon it's a software update thing. The Sportbacks have clearly been built much more recently so have the latest software. Your 3 door probably needs an update to add the option back in (thoug that doesn't explain howit disappeared in the first place, if you reckon it was there...
