According to Autotrader they value it at £12,570 for a private sale, so your price is a bit high. I'd also say the overall condition doesn't look great in the pics with the curb'd alloys and the interior could use a bit of a clean (not meaning to sound rude!) just that at a higher price I'd be...
Personally I would go on the overall condition/feel of the car and also look at the MOT history to decide on a car as this will usually show how well the previous owners have looked after it more than whether it has dealer service history or not. This is mainly because from experience I know...
That's also where every wheel I've had powder coated eventually ends up failing - the water that sits in around the tyre valve then works its way under the gap in powder coat where it was hung from and it eventually bubbles up around the tyre valve. I'd guess they've hung the wheel from a small...
Carista lets you disable the headlight washers. It also lets you adjust the delay until they are activated, the time they activated for and how often they are activated - so you could just set it to only activate after a longer pull of the screenwash (max time is 2.55 seconds) and also reduce...
I'd guess a previous owner has put something in the holder bit that has reacted with the material on the visor - possibly an air freshener as I've seen those mark plastics before.
Thanks for that - RAC diagnosed it as the slave cylinder, sadly it had fluid leaking out the gearbox so does look like the diagnosis was correct from that video.
I got in my 2014 manual S3 this morning and put my foot on the clutch pedal ready to start it and the pedal shot to the floor and stayed there. I can pull it back up by hand, but as soon as it's pushed again it shoots straight to the floor again. I can't see anything obvious - was expecting to...
Check the dealer has actually done the brake fluid change properly - on two occasions Perth Audi only bothered to change the brake fluid on the front callipers as apparently the rear ones are difficult to bleed properly, so they don't bother doing them. Can easily check by removing the rubber...
That's pretty decent service!! Perth Audi don't even bother to bleed the rear brakes when they do a brake fluid change and I won't even mention how bad Edinburgh Audi are.....
According to http://www.manualesaudi.com/AudiA3/en_GB/onboard/o_m00248.htm
The "eco" mode*1) is activated if you press the AUTO button briefly while automatic mode is active. Fuel is saved in "eco" mode* because the settings respond more passively. The "eco" mode* is on when eco appears in the...
You could try looking at blackcircles.com as you should be able to choose the tyres you want and where you want them fitted. If you're near Edinburgh I can loan you a couple of winter wheels/tyres to keep you moving in the meantime if needed.
Very late reply, but I've only just seen this so thought I'd answer in case anyone else has this question in the future. I have a 2014 S3 with factory folding mirrors and there was no option in the MMI settings - I'm guessing this wasn't an MMI feature on earlier cars. I used the Carista app...
Looking at the exploded diagram it looks like it's clipped in place:

Also a removal guide on page 53 here...
The switch set to bottom left is to fold them, but it would have a symbol for this if it had folding mirrors. Mine didn't show the option in the MMI settings until I enabled it with Carista, so I'm guessing the previous owned has added this in error?
Even the electric mirrors can be folded in...
No idea on the headlights, but I'd guess the windscreen was removed so the could paint the A-pillar, rather than blending the paint in along the roof line - which does sound like they've done a decent job! So many repair places don't even remove the windows, they just mask round them and you...
Could it possibly be brake fluid? Apart from that or oil from the shock absorbers I can't think of anything else oily at the rear of the car. If it was petrol or diesel it would have an obvious smell to it.
