    What have you done today?

Still keeping an eye in with you lot. Might put in an appearance at AITP for a free burger, depending on the weather etc... That TT-RS is still nagging in my ear...

    What have you done today?

Emptied another S3 part from my garage when JayA3 came to collect the BNIP front lower grille surround that I originally bought from Fran-S3 but never fitted. Nice to catch up with someone from the AS.net forum again.

OMG, did I just do that...?

Yes agree with you - they handle beautifully. And you can really notice the effect of less weight to throw around. Tomorrow's the day to wave farewell to the S3. So thanks to all for your support over the last 7 years. Paul.

    Audi S3 Prices

When mine hits the market there'll be a price spike for sure!

OMG, did I just do that...?

Yep, there's enough in the tank for that!

OMG, did I just do that...?

Thanks Jay. Yes it's still a great car - still makes me look back at it as I'm walking away. And still gets lots of comments about how good it looks for its age. Collection of the new one is now early next week, so I'm trying to balance fuel consumption with number of days left so I don't have...

    What have you done today?

I've emptied all of the stuff out of my S3 in preparation for taking it in to px soon. I've put my 17" Avus rims & winter tyres onto the Classifieds section of the forum. I've started to come to terms with the impending separation. :worried:

Joe, that was wax, not polish... (sigh).

P/X for an 18mth old one - check your Inbox for more details. I just wanted a no-hassle sale without being totally ripped off. Another trip to see Mickey Mouse in a couple of years was also a constraining factor on the budget!!! That mouse has a lot to answer for when I see him next.

:grinning:Yeah, yeah. I knew it was risky putting that information on here.

After 7 years of ownership, 55k great miles driven, 2 problem-free trips to Le Mans, 5 AITP events (one of which was exceptionally wet!), 3 ADI events, 3 GTI International events, 3 GTI International 1/4 mile runs, 2 ADI track sessions at Castle Combe (no sideways moments or barrier visits!), 1...

    Water in drivers footwell..

Looks like a washer pipe to me. On its way to the rear wiper? Could you get someone to trigger the rear washer whilst you hold the pipe to sense if it feels like the water is moving through it?

Boot release pad replacement - parts & photos

Made a bit more progress this morning. New connectors assembled: Soldered onto the wires from the old corroded connectors. This was a pain because you're essentially soldering upside-down, so you can see how I did this by temporarily attaching a length of wood to the inside of the boot...

    What have you done today?

Took all the Christmas decorations down. Nothing to do with the S3 - sorry.

    What have you done today?

Picked up the parts to repair my boot release pads and started a simple "how-to" thread because I had to search through several to figure out what I needed: http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/boot-release-pad-replacement-parts-photos.259132/

Removing number plate light connectors - how?

Boot release pad replacement - parts & photos

I know there are various threads on this already, but I had to search through several to find the right part numbers, and some refer to replacement of the boot release switch mechanism itself rather than the boot release pads & connections. So, if your boot release pads are no longer working...

    Wheel arches rusting

Apply Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 for metal with remaining minor corrosion, or Electrox primer if completely corrosion free.
