As you may have guessed by now I am looking to buy a lhd porsche.
as things go it has to be 4wd as snow will be quite common where I'll be (yes poor me : the alps! )
I've tested a 993 C4 yesterday which was perfect BUT I just cant cope with the interior which is stuck in the 70's!!! (call me a...
So after 12 months of owning the 3.2 here is what I thought of it (hope it helps someone deciding):
First the spec:
Silver A3 3.2 Quattro Sport with the main options being full Votex Bodykit, 18'' Calito wheels (split BBS rims actually), full black leather, BOSE Symphony (or concert?) 6CD...
In the mix of good cars I would like to buy when back to France, I am considering buying a Porsche.
My budget is around 20k and that can give me any C2 I want on the continent, even an old 996 (I'll increase the budget slightly).
the thing is, I have heard bad stories about the 996 reliability...
Mods,
I've seen lots of 3.2's being ordered lately when they could have got mine for cheaper.
Seems they've been misinformed
is that posible to get my advert as sticky here?
Please, oh please!
Thanks
Incidently I've just noticed that my advert disappeared!
What's happened
Right,
As most of you know I am selling my car and going back to France where I'll have space and time (hopefully).
You would also have noticed that I dont know much about handling or engine's tuning and I admit that I am not a very good driver neither BUT i want to change all that with a new...
I've read that it is an easy mod (as well as free) on the R32 and was wondering if anyone's done this on their 3.2?
If yes could you explain me how to do it in very plain English.
Thanks
Seen it in the flesh yesterday and it looks so much better than on pictures!
I am well impressed
I checked the engine available but nothing very sporty. Does anyone know if they will launch anything with 200+ bhp?
Anyone seen one and what do you think?
Or even better has anyone test driven...
How can I reduce understeer on my car?
It is bog standard A3 V6 3.2 engine seating on Dunlop SP9000 225/40or45/18 and it is understeering way too much to my liking
Well I cant do anything about the weight of the engine but what else can I do
ARB? suspension? tyre?
if so in which order to get...
Right,
I am trying to get to the bottom of what are the power and torque figures we get from different companies as Ive seen so many different and odd figures (wishful thinking I know ).
But I looked at some very interesting posts (Haldex one with Ulfs letter was very informative) and checked...
I posted these questions in audi driver international thread but did not get any answer so here we go again:
1- How does a track day session affect the warranty of the car. I mean what happens if something breaks while on track. Is that still covered under Audi warranty? What about if it fails 1...
Can anyone recommand any circuit (good or not doesnot matter) in a radius of 100 miles around Watford
It is just that after all this talking/reading about high speed and acceleration, now I get SO frustrated on the public roads
I need a good thrashing soon
Thanks
VF engineering in the US (yes eventhough they dont hav the new A3 yet) are testing a supercharger on the V6
They have the car for 3 months only but they already developped stage 2 on the golf R32 which gave them around 65bhp increase!
Just as a comparison here are the dynos (at the wheels)...
Received a letter from Audi asking to take the car to the local stealer to check the left rear brake pipe as "in rare cases there is a possibility that it may become damaged. In extreme cases this could result in failure of one brake circuit."
As they mention that it is the case for new A3...
Hi,
Just joined so hello to all!
I got my A3 V6 approx 2 months ago and I have a couple of question:
- Has anyone with this kind of car had some modifications done?
- What does the ECU remap' really do to the car?
Thanks for the answers
Steph
