I can certainly vouch for that. I too felt a bit let down when I first drove the car with 100 miles on the clock just before Christmas. Its now done just over 10,000 and feels like a different car! Much much better. Plenty of torque and I do a lot of motor way miles and it doesn't feel...
My S-Line has the black headlining and Privacy Glass and I can confirm that its not too dark. As others have said, I feel it makes the interior classier still (if thats possible?!)
It has. They're just pretty hard to see as it was a fairly dull day when I took the pics. That's an S-Line badge on the front wing that I'm presuming you thought was the indicator? :)
I LOVE my Condor Grey. I had a BMW MINI Cooper S back in 2004 and I wanted the nearest thing to what BMW called Dark Silver in the MINI. I'm sure it's self cleaning too!! Great for keeping clean.
Have a look from Post 24 on my thread below where I put some pics!! Hope it helps...
Thought I'd jump on a give my 2pence worth. Mine (59 plate Sportback) is coming up to 6500 miles since 23rd Dec 09. MPG ranges vary. Lowest I've had is 44/45 and highest around the 55mpg mark as an average over a day. I have got high 50s but it drops back down as soon as you get a bit right foot...
Someone once told me... " Its not how many exhausts you have thats important, but what you do with them that counts"
You have one lovely car there fella! :salute:
Nope. Its just the Sportback S-Line. I have to admit, I did think the single exhaust was linked to the new low emission engine. Mine does have stop / start on it too.
Confusing to say the least? I have a 2010 (59 plate) S-Line and it has a single exhaust. Its a fairly large single exhaust dressed in Chrome but single all the same. Its the new low emission 1.6TDI and not sure if that makes a difference.
Hiya. Got my 1.6TDI just before Christmas. It certainly felt alot slower brand new than it does now. Its done just over 6000 miles so far and the engine has loosened up lovely. Sure its not a rocket, but I've just come from a 2.2CDTi Civic and a Cooper S before that, so the power is down to what...
So far so good Scott. Unbelievably quiet. Unless the Civic was just very noisy. Not really given it too much at the mo (icy roads and a brand new engine), but from what I have picked up so far, it's got more than I thought. Picks up well and even 5th seems to pull well.
I never did actually...
Hi all,
Took delivery of my new 1.6TDI Sportback S-Line today!
Just thought I'd hop onto this thread and post some pics of the car! Loving the car (even if it has been all of 50 odd miles due to the rubbish weather) :ermm:
Hope you like it :icon_thumright:
Cheers
Joe
Well, Santa finally visited today (despite the terrible weather) and delivered my new A3.
Not had much of a chance to drive it too far yet, but so far so good. Just hope the weather pics up so I can take it for a decent blast. Well worth the wait though. Even if it was 4 and half...
Next update on this very very long wait....
Got a call today to tell me that the my new A3 is being delivered to my house on 23rd Dec :yahoo:
Made my Christmas! I know what I'll be doing Christmas Eve....:racer:
The chrimbo shopping will have to wait.
Will get some pics up at...
Just thought I would give an update as its been a while since I've posted on here.
The last few months have dragged a bit, but I have heard today that my new A3 is at last on route to the dealers!!
I'm still being told that its unlikely I will get it this side of Christmas by the...
Excellent. Bet you're way excited. Have fun! I'm sure you will!
Ordered my new car about a week ago and I have to wait aaaagggeesss.
Dealer tells me may even be early Jan, although they are trying to get it this side of Christmas!! RAH :faint:
What kind of wait did you experience?
Cheers for that. I wasn't aware how they worked in reality as I've not seen them on an A3 yet. Sounds like they work in the same way as the ones on my current Civic though, in that I have to press a button.
That's fine by me.
They have been useful for me, esp around the narrow lanes near me...
