I would normally, but it's soon going to be time to let the car go,, after owning it for the last 10 years and now showing 225000 miles, things are starting to show it's age.
The Throttle body has a half moon cog inside, the teeth break and cause it to jam.
remove it with the egr valve (Three bolts hold the egr and throttle body together). clean the EGR valve test the throttle bodies movement.

I have had the lock in pieces and can see no corrosion, the little micro switch seems to be OK.
Just waiting on a new lock coming and will try that.If that doesn't fix it then i feel it must be a broken wire.
I removed the trim on R/H side of the tailgate to reveal the rubber sleeve,but im not sure how far the sleeve will pull back?(going to try again tomorrow when its warmer and the rubber is more flexible).
