They have suggested a new matrix and coolant flush with fresh coolant.
TPS is quite expensive for the matrix but I can get one aftermarket for reasonable money.
Thanks for the reply. I am no mechanic so some of the stuff goes over my head. Pipes are hot. Heater matrix has been removed and full of brown crap and water is the colour of rust. They are saying its the matrix and if it doesnt cure it then I am in deep ****.
Thanks for the reply. A full diagnostic scan has already been done and no faults relating to AC/HVAC have came up.
Its the 2 zone system I have with knobs.
I have recently purchased a 2012 A6 Avant 3.0 TDI with a DPF fault which didnt really scare me as the car was cheap. Anyway I then discovered that the heaters are blowing cold(ish) air and not giving any hot air which the DPF specialist said I should have looked at before throwing money at the...
Think I have a problem which is more serious than first thought.
Symptoms are as follows:
Central locking not working from remote
Mechanical noise (I think its some kind of steering lock) doesnt operate when I remove the key from ignition
Radio doesnt switch off when I remove ignition key
Anyone...
I am quite sure its the same set up as an S-Line.
If the price is mega expensive you could but a complete Eibach Pro-Kit for a couple of hundred pounds.
I let you do the hard work for me seeing your so easily offended and cannot take a joke.
In any case that is hardly a dish. Nice enough wheel. Just not my cuppa
Just took my car to the workshop today to check my rear wiper that is not working.
Thought it would be the motor but wanted to be sure.
Anyway they took off the trim panel and messed about with it and now my remote is not working to operate my central locking. Motor is connected but rear trim...
Mine is a special edition (same as Le-mans but later plate)
It has the twin spoke wheels instead of the BBS Speedlines. I just have an itch for BBS CH. If the offset is a tad lower in number the wheel will stick out a bit more?
I am looking at a couple of sets of genuine BBS CH for my A6 Avant.
What is the exact offset I need. The manual does not even have mention of the factory fitted tyre size which is
255/35/19.
Anything else I should consider when fitting aftermarket wheels.
One of the sets came of a B5 A4 1.8T...
Feck that. Unless you are on the dole or live your life in your man cave.
I dont dislike the BBS speedlines but a 2 piece wheel with no dish is a waste of extra hassle
Seen them on a few S-Lines. Look decent enough but I think I prefer the ones I have. Also they are 2 piece and a pain to refurb....................
And they will need a refurb.
