I've got a 96 1.8 manuel petrol and i bought 40mm lowering springs. The back of the car sits lower than the front so i need to drop it 60mm-40mm. I've been offered some 60mm springs off a 99 1.8t avant, will these fit?

In a thread a few weeks ago you said you removed the rubber alloy insulator and chopped a coil off the spring, i've taken a picture of my suspension below can you show me what i should be removing and where i should be cutting?

I only lowered it yesterday and i'm not too sure if the front will settle a little more but i'm kind of getting used to it now... So what do you think? I tried to get the GF to lower the front a bit more...

Why? I've just had it lowered 40mm all around and i can just about get my finger inbetween the arch and rear wheel but on the front i can fit my whole fist in. (oooh, sailor) Now the garage told me it will settle but these have been fitted to a car for 100 miles before mine so i dont think...
