Thanks, I attacked it tonight and couldn't get it out. Also realised that I would have a hole in the window until I sourced a new motor!
Does anyone know the part number?
I have got the dreaded brown gunk problem inside the tailgate and I am going to replace the motor. I realise I will need a puller to get the spindle out, but how easy is it to put back together with the new motor? Is it a simple matter of tightening the nut on the outside of the glass and the...
Wow! Welly I'm not too convinced. If you are sure her dad is legit then fair enough. I read that to my missus and she wasn't convinced either. What father thinks that it would be a good idea to put their daughter on a site like that??
Any way I'm not in your shoes so can't gauge the...
Hi, I buying a Seat Altea fairly soon(still keeping the A3!) and wondered if anyone could advise me of a good forum to join for Seats.
Looking for some "points to watch for" advice. If anyone knows for things to look out for, I'd be grateful for the heads up.
Cheers
Difference in drivability too. 170 feels a bit gutless at low revs setting off from a standstill. Almost like the turbo feels bigger and takes a moment longer to spool up. Just my tuppence worth!
One turns off the "tilt" sensor which would allow the car to be towed or lifted. The other turns off the sensors inside the car, ie, if you had a dog inside and didn't want it to set off the alarm.
Thanks mate, that makes sense. If the dis doesn't know the light is being switched on, it can't tell there is a fault. That would explain it. I was quite surprised to see no reverse light and nothing in the dis
Need to find the switch now!

Sensors are factory fitted, OEM so no £20 halfords specials.
Don't know anyone with vagcom, only audi dealer = fleecing!
Just wondered if anyone had came across this before.
Anyone know if a reversing bulb would be picked up by the computer/dis?
Hi guys, need help.
Noticed that the rear parking sensors aren't working. The odd beep, sometimes silence. Walked around it when in reverse and nothing, not a chirp.
Also noticed the reversing light isn't working? (Heated seats seem to be on the same fuse, and they're ok) so sure it's not...
Can get it on a manual too, the configurator just let me speck one up. Really surprised at this, I thought you had to have an electronic handbrake for this, like megane scenic and passat
Slightly off topic, but had a bad crash last year not my fault. Had to find my own solicitor who is dealing with it now. Other party admitted liability.
My insurers, couldnt be less helpful, I told them I had a letter from other tp insurers accepting liability. 1 year down the line and they...

I'll keep an eye out for you in Glasgow
Itwasntme187 - your dads a good guy! its good when your family understand your passion for your wheels! A mate had a similar situation but his family weren't so understanding.
Are you really making a claim on your insurance for this without involving your uncle or his insurance? Surely if your family have a lot of respect for him maybe a quite word aside without involving your dad might work? Did he admit it, does he know that you know it was him?
Tell me to butt...
