Priced a new offside front regulator with main dealer - £110.Found one on e-bay from a breaker for £28 but this is off a b6 saloon.When i put in my b6 avant details it said the part was not compatible.Surely these parts should be the same for avant and saloon.

Hi guys,washed my car this afternoon and went to drop the driver side window.It went halfway down and stopped.Turned engine off to reset but all i get is a whirring from the motor and no window movement.Have lifted the window shut by hand for now.Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If i'm replacing the esp switch would it be better to rip off the cover of the old one to get at the locking clips rather than risk breaking the surround trim which is apparently held very firmly in place?
