Thanks for the offer fella.Thought it would be a more sensible option to replace them all and the top mounts and bearings with new ones.
Thanks again though.
Andy
After my nearside front coilspring breaking and nearly giving me a heart attack with the bang it made.I managed to source and purchase a full set of eibach springs today.I just need to purchase some new top mounts and bearings now.
If someone could direct me to the best place to pick some up...
Update...
I 've picked up a new set of eibach pro springs today. And thought I'd change the top mounts aswell.
Top mounts aswell.
Are the top mounts main dealer only or can I get them from somewhere else?
I'll also change the bearings at the same time. Are these main dealer too?
Any pointers...
Thanks Yaz,
Yeah it was a bit of a shock to say the least!!!
I'm not looking to lower the car,i want to keep it looking as standard as possible.
Wondered where you've seen the above wietec springs as that seems like a reasonable price.
Cheers
Andy
Why do they always mess up orders???Very frustrating sometimes.
Keswick beer festival sounds like a good distraction/reason to have a break from the project though :beerchug:
Also Pm'd ya fella.
Thanks for the input chaps.
Right then what coil springs do you recommend other than genuine? I've seen the Eibach pro kit,Apex,PI and weitech.Does anyone know how they compare to the H&R's?I'll also change the top mounts at the same time.
Cheers
Andy

Does anyone know how much they are.And if i can get one from anywhere else other than the...

Got it from TPS as recomended.Seemed expensive £26 ish +the dreaded VAT.That is a good price you where quoted...I should buy a couple to keep in stock fella.
Just done both..CTS and the thermostat. As it was doing the same as yours.
I thought i would try the CTS first as it was the eisier of the two to replace. After a couple of days driving the car after replacing the result was...The needle was a little more stable,as it was going upto about 80...
I'm sure this will have been asked before??
But which Code Reader is a good/accurate and reliable one to purchase, also where's the best place to get one,oh and estimated cost?
Heard bad things about the cheap ones on Ebay.
cheers.
Thanks for all the advice guys...
I managed to get it done last night without doing anything with the alternator..Just a couple of extensions on the ratchet!
Once all back together,i let it run upto 90 on the guage then took it for a short run and back into the garage.
This morning topped...
Just had a quick look and WOW that bottom bolt on the plastic housing looks tight!!!!
