allroad 2.5v6 2004 breaking selling. good engine dead gearbox

What is your offer? I was hoping for around £1000, as that is what I think I could get if I were to sell the bits I can easily remove separately and then the engine/suspension components to a local independent garage who is interested.

    Auto gearboxes

Please read some of my recent posts. My poor allroad is currently sat with its 3rd dead tiptronic gearbox - 2 boxes were Audi remanufactured ones both died with unrelated problems in a period of 4 years so yes they do fail (just out of warranty!!!) and are horrifically expensive to buy £3000ish...

2.5 v6 tdi 2004 allroad dead\scrap\repair or break but love car

I know, but filling it requires filling it until it overflows and again once at certain temperature - they followed the audi instructions. but the oil is not pumping round the gearbox to get hot or make more space in sump for the rest of the oil. actually whilst typing this I wonder if they can...

the one that failed, done about 50,000 miles - 4 year old audi remanufactured box, failed on motorway would only operate in 4th gear no reverse. oil was black, burnt and full of metal fragments, garage found nut/bolt floating around loose in gearbox sump. seen it on floor at garage, its internal...

2.5 v6 tdi 2004 allroad dead\scrap\repair or break but love car

Gearbox failed so had one from a breaker yard fitted. New genuine gearbox oil and filter fitted but box not working. Not pumping oil round. Very annoyed as 11 hour job to fit gearbox. garage thinks its the gearbox oil pump rather than torque converter. The pump from old box is ok so a...

BAU engine EYJ gearbox, 5 speed automatic. Gearbox failed ....again! Car otherwise ok, both front new airsprings and compressor in last few months. done 180,000miles. Door open display.

Have 2004 A6 Allroad (C5) display does not show bonnet. only doors & boot. There is a bonnet switch but this only sets off the alarm. Try sitting in the car, locking it with the key fob waiting for a bit for alarm to set fully then opening the bonnet lever. Can't quite remember what I was doing...

A6 avant Quattro est c5, door struggling to open.

If its getting that hit & miss I suggest you completely remove your inside door trim now, if you end up not being able to open the door at all with the trim in place you are in big trouble. You would end up having to remove the rear door to get to the lock catch on the front to cut it to be able...

    Fault Code 00560

Complete guess without knowing what that fault code is but could be sticky EGR valve. Mine had similar signs but my fault code reader tells me what the code means. Any black smoke from exhaust on acceleration?

    allroad suspension compressor

I am a farm vet so vet it gets covered in s**t regurally. Good idea, I will try to rivet it back on in new holes, probably cover the holes in underseal to prevent rusting - thanks.

    allroad suspension compressor

just done the compressor fix on my 2004 allroad (seals etc). Problem I have is with the metal dust cover that I had to remove to get to the compressor. Its fixings were so well rusted/corroded etc that the only way I could remove it was to pull it off and "tear" it off its bolts that mount it...

Ignition off but warning lights flashing

Never had this but have 2 ideas. First hopefully is not true and that being that it is possible to fry the electronics using a jump start from another car due to the power surges. Second would be to charge your battery fully then disconnect both + & - terminals then touch them together when...
