just to clarify they were off an S4 - they were an OEM BBS CH option at 18X8. they don't have the stupid motorsport engraving on that a generic BBS CH has.
I bought some second hand BBS CH's off an A4 for winter tyres. Pretty sure they are 18x8. cost me £300.
Not sure why people want to go for a smaller than you would with normal tyres on and make car look gash for 4-5 months of the year!
i put these on my missus car last year and back on again a few weeks ago (225/40/18s), they are much better in the wet as well as when its a bit cold. They are slightly softer and make the ride a bit better but do make a bit more noise on the motorway. I think I paid about £140 a tyre from...
i don't understand this business of fitting gash looking wheels during the winter - it last 4-5 months in this country!! I bought a set of second hand 18" BBS CH's and stuck some winter tyres on. Might of cost a few more quid but who wants their car to look gash for half the year?!
this noise is getting more frequent now. especially when the car is under load on a hill for example. It is still not slipping though so i wonder whether it is one of the belts rather than the clutch. Any thoughts?
My 1.8T is just coming up to 18k. It started squealing now and again on take off about 3k ago, it has got more pronounced recently. Just before it was out of warranty audi had a listen and couldn't work out what it was, said if it was clutch then not covered by warranty as wear and tear - usual...
my mum had a 330d e46 - was a great car until one of the swirl flaps dropped at 70k and bent a piston! £2500 later it was fixed enough to trade it in but was smoking like a chimney. I've had a 120d and I think the bmw diesels are so much more refined than the audi engines
look at an alpina D3 -...
I could easily fix it myself I'm sure but that's no the point- a 3 year old Audi should not need this fixing unless there us something wrong with the design or it a faulty unit, either way that why they sell the car with a warranty!!
It's less than 3 years so under Audi warranty. They said it was £36 for new one.
I told the guy that if this was the way Audi treated it's customers I wouldn't bother buying another Audi- told him i also have a an s2000 and Honda replaced a part on my car 4 months out of warranty FOC and that...
So the rear washer on my car has been on blink for a while, it's never worked very well since got car 6 months ago. Car is still under warranty so when it was in at Audi Walton they said it is blocked and need replacing.
The dealer reckons it's not covered by warranty as it's not broken but...
It's coming from The engine bay.
I'd be mega surprised if Audi could wriggle given it's age and miles- usually dealers like doing warranty work anyway as they get paid for it by Audi
My wife has been complaining that the clutch squeaks in 1st gear now and again on initial take off. I've had it do it a couple of times too when i have driven it recently. there is no slippage at all. Car has only done 15k and is under warranty for few more months but given that the noise isn't...
i put them a set on the wife's car last weekend, 225/40/18 £150 each from Camskill. They seem a lot better in the wet so far, wife doesn't see the point of them unsuprisingly!!
