Only a few turns and the studs were out? :faint: If you use 10mm spacer personally I would use 10mm longer studs........
Spacer may have been to clear the caliper, try it without spacer and check. Maybe just to widen track of car.
Bells - normal brake discs come with the bells and rotor as one...
I know this has probably been asked a million and one times but what cable do I need for my car? 2000 1.8t AGU.
I have the lite software installed from Rosstech, this will have to do me just now until funds allow the proper one.
Cheers
Oh, also I found some moisture in the spark plug holes. The coil caps were a little damp. Turned out the gasket on all 4 coils were bust. I took them off cleaned and dried. Removed all the square gaskets and used some silicone as a temp fix till I get new gaskets or coils.
Could well be if the oil is saturating the spark.
Try cleaning the MAF.
The idle on mine was terrible when I got it. I changed plugs, oil, filters, coolant ,thermostat, temp sensor. Idle was the exact same.
Had a scoot about the forum and cleaned the MAF in some alcohol, used some...
Well the rear callipers do need changed, unless I can get them freed up.
The braking is far from great on the car but then I did have a focus st with 6 pots on the front. That was running 300 bhp. I'm not looking for the same power but around the 200-220 when I'm done.
What I really mean is...
The 4 of mine looked like that, although not quite as bad, when i changed them, no idea how old they were but looking at past reciepts they could be up to 18k old..........
Someone maybe spilled oil down a plug hole when topping up~?.
I have the splitter on mine. Currently awaiting the blanking cap as it's no use in my opinion.
When it's closed tighter it seems to be more responsive. When fully open the car just struggles to hold or make boost. As for the noise it makes - lol
In the near future I will be replacing all 4 callipers, discs and pads.
The rear are sticking a good bit, I loosened the handbrake and it's helped a hell of a lot.
Question is do I just stick with OE spec ones or is there better for the same kinda money?
