there is a way of knowing if the chain is stretched or not, by unscrewing 1 or 2 bits and looking at the timing markers. it is a 2 hour job, max. I will look up the details for you.

Hi, anyone's got a link to pics of an A3/S3/RS3 with black&silver TTRS/Rotor alloys? I'm wondering what it would look like if they are painted black but only the center part, not the 'silver' edge. So basically the black-and-red RS3 rims, but without the red :haha:

Really? That's a bummer! How about the 3 door pre- and post-facelift diffusors, can you swap them without any trouble? Then again: this indicates there are differences in the 3 door and 5 door rear valances, aren't there? How about fitting a 3dr rear valance to a 5 dr, will it not fit properly...

no other warning/engine lights? If the turbo couldn't keep up as supposed to, I'd say the engine control unit would pick up on that, so lights would pop up. White smoke often is a sign of water consumption (whereas oil would give blue smoke), so I'd think more along the lines of a blown gasket...
