no luck with new switch. The light symbol on the switch glows untill you turn it on but then the rest of the leds's on the switch dont light up.

Hi, something thats been annoying me for a while but not really had chance to take a look. my headlight switch and overhead light buttons dont illuminate when headlights are switched on. They have randomly come on once or twice but just go off on their own. Any ideas? cheers

My aircon keeps blowing the fuse as soon as i press the button. Im guessing its either a faulty compressor or a short in the wiring anywhere. Thought I would check if anyone else has had this issue before? I would like to get my aircon working again asap. Car is a 2.5tdi quattro

The clutches on these are really easy. Did one on a b7 1.9tdi last week, took me about 3 hours all in. There's no messing with ball joints etc. Just unbolt the driveshafts front the flange. You don't have to undo anything from the top in the engine bay, just drop the engine down and you can get...

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I could tell the knock had more weight behind it than a caliper so ruled that out. I put a set of used sport suspension on today and it's cured the front and rear knocks. So happy I finally sorted the issue as the car was nearly undriveable.

I will try tomorrow morning on my way to work. But I replaced my front discs the other day as my useless mintex ones warped within 6 months!! And everything felt solid, pads sat nice and tight. Do you know if the rear suspension is different from non quattro and quattro? Thanks

Still baffled by this one. Ive just disconnected the wastegate hose, sucked on it and clamped the hose shut to keep a vacuum and she runs well, really well!! The vacuum pump seems to sucking quite strong and brakes are good. We still have no anti shudder valve noise though. Any further ideas...

Ok i disconnected the anti shudder valve on the inlet and pluged the hose, still no better. Ive tested wastegate diagphram and thats ok.

Will be attempting this soon so before i do whice pipe? Is it the one that goes from the vac pump to the anti shudder or another one? Thanks
