Good news,
It turns out the dealership had downloaded the update but not activated it - what numpties !!
All good now and for the first time in 18 months the satnav around the Hindhead tunnel is correct. Mine was the first build group so no free upgrades on line

I would go with the 2.0ltr , I just had one as a courtesy car and a better drive than my 1.6 TDI , not so much having to change gears etc.
I have done 45k miles in my 1.6TDI now and have averaged 57.3mpg - disappointed given the claimed 75mpg

I need some help please,
Ever since I got my A3 Sportback with the HDD sat nav plus it has annoyed me no end that the Hindhead Tunnel on the A3 is missing. If I follow the satnav it takes me up the old section , past Barons BMW and then crash into the woods.
Anyway, I managed to get my company...
I have had a few quick cars in the past just doing low 20's mpg which is fine if you only do 5k per year I suppose , you do get used to less grunt and enjoy the drive in a different way I suppose
Andy ,
Around 60mpg is good and cheap company car tax is great as well . My point on the mpg was that it should be nearer the actual figures in real world driving . I have been able to get 85 MPG behind a lorry on a motorway so buying as a personal car I think they are a great bet , cheap to...
I have done about 26k now and averaging about 57 / 58 mpg so this is all you are likely to get to be honest.
Mine is a company car and I have a fuel card now so don't care about the mpg anymore but if I had paid out of my own pocket I would have sold it by now due to this as it is so far off...
My TMC is not working despite being back to the dealership again . My question is - is it supposed to be illuminated all the time , sometimes mine does , other times it does not and I do not get traffic updates .
Has anybody got more info or reference numbers to quote for what was done so I...
ItguySo far so good engine and trim wise.Only 3 issues for me , mpg a let down as I expected more than an average of 58mpg, wind noise from B pillar not great , I sit quite a way back being lanky and am disappointed by that and sat nav having an issue with TMC and being quite a few years out of...
Vertigo,I have just posted on this issue. My TMC sometimes works other times does not . It seems to be behind on traffic info telling me there are queues when there are not. It is as though it is not picking up the transmissions for some reason. In the dealership now having it looked at .Clock...
MjI sit here in an Audi dealership with the very same issue. Sometimes TMC is on other times it is off - same roads M25 and A3 . It appears to be behind on info on the traffic updates , telling me there are 6 mile queues but they do not exist. Sat nav works fine though so all a bit odd
Nice write up.I have the 1.6 TDI averaging about 59 mpg after 22k miles so don't expect your mpg to improve that much. I went for this engine as at the time I had to pay for fuel and claim back company mileage. I now have a fuel card so if choosing again I would either go for the bigger TDI...
I had a vertical rubber at the front of the B pillar that kept turning in on its self every time the window was wound down. This is now fixed but still too much wind noise for my liking so another visit to the stealers hip is plannedChester
My A3 SB is in the stealership , they are trying to fix my bad wind ! They have lean't me an A5 Quattro for a couple of days and guess what , the Hindhead tunnel is correct and shown whilst on my newer A3 SB it is totally missing.
This is a known issue on the A3 but I had presumed that Audi...
Flugel, nice spec.
I have the 1.6 TDI and have completed about 13k now . Generally finding it good , maybe a bit underpowered in some circumstances but getting 60 mpg average and have seen 80mpg !!
Hope you enjoy
Chester
Suffering from bad wind at present - actually coming from the drivers side B pillar . Upon investigation I can see that the vertical front rubber before the shiny plastic central cover to the B pillar is getting buckled when the window goes up and it is bending back upon itself.
Awaititng the...
