That picture of your valves Alex had they been cleaned and then had the wmi fitted and that was the build up upon inspection? or was the wmi fitted with already dirty valves. Im eagerly awaiting pictures of your valves since the new cam cover has been fitted with the rear pcv delete and catch can.

Im sure the smell could be fixed if it ever bothered you by extending the filter away from the engine bay or into the flow of air under the car although personally i quite like the smell of hot oil.. Im going to look into doing this myself now there does seem to be a few companies making these...

Thanks for your reply it seems rather expensive but i guess its a small price to pay to remedy the clogged up valves if it turns out that it works.

great conversion its genius the pd vag engine cannot be compared to the cr vag engine i bet it drives really well. the engine looks right at home in the bay as well. Great job and nice one for breaking the norm and doing what suits your needs . ;)
