Voltage output from a battery can be a red herring. Perhaps, if you have a multimeter you can check across the terminals with the engine running to ensure the alternator is good. Providing that is okay, you need to check the battery current; I think these have a 93A lump in the back? Perhaps...

Perhaps prematurely, I bough a second hand TCM as I believed that it would be a part number swap (4D0 927 156) however I have noticed that the last two letters don't match - is there any relevance to these...

Also perhaps worthy of note is the fact that, whilst the wheels were being balanced, I noticed that the CV boots look past their best. Not sure if a dry CV would cause the issue but I suppose it's worth mentioning everything
