Good afternoon, for some reason this site has started to log me out when not accessing it, despite the box to stay logged in being ticked and I'm getting this error message below.
Using android tablet and chrome, all up to date...
The 1.4 150ps engine never commonly suffered from the wastegate actuator rattle, it did however affect many 122ps versions and a modified linkage was fitted with a clip to prevent this rattle..
On the engines that were affected yes, on ones that aren't, such as yours, it was not a necessary requirement to have the link modified. I had the 140ps version and that didn't rattle..
You have the 150ps engine? This was not one of the versions that had a common issue with the rattle, as I understand it was only the 122ps 1.4's affected https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/turbo-wastegate-rattle-how-common-is-it.241501/
You are correct, everything is designed around the stop start systems, from the starter motor to the alternator to the engine oil. The engine is also stopped at a particular cycle of the pistons to ensure less wear and tear...
I had a 1.4 A3 and not once was it jerky, it was the 1.5 engine that was effected by this symptom https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/driving-1/2020-07/volkswagen-confirms-no-further-measures-planned-in-regards-to-15-tsi-issues/...

Most manufactures have changed the first brake fluid change regime to two years which, I assume is based upon recommendations from the fluid manufactures. As my 2016 A4 was purchased from new, and on service plan, the first change had no extra charge. My bmw has the same regime also...
You might need to fit a different mmi unit as I believe the electronics are different for the larger screen. Google search is your friend https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a4-b9-platform-discussion-212/audi-a4-2016-replace-basic-mmi-screen-mmi-high-screen-3015416/
On the 2.0 petrol the filter is located at the front off the engine to the right of the top of the timing chain cover, see pic. So would it have come from there?
