I've bit the bullet and picked up a new genuine motor from eBay and a wiper/bearing puller from Amazon.

I have finally got my hands on an AMSS and am getting the bits together for the install. The guide uses a flat 40A fuse with the plastic on it, all I can find is what seems to be bare flat fuses...

Scrap that, just removed my boot sidewall lining and it is part of the chassis that makes contact with the seat so the bottom part of the seat is too long. With that in mind I think this will cost too much for a pro to do and will be too much for me to handle so will start looking for 8P rears...

Hi all, I recently bought a set of full leather 8V seats to fit to my 8P. I expected the rears to be a complete mismatch but compared them to my 8P seats and they are more similar then I thought they would be. The top half seems to fit into place fine but the bottom of the rear makes contact...

I removed it just now, turned off the passenger airbag and there are no errors on the dash. I will still scan with VCDs once finished to make sure the new seats aren't showing any errors :)

Will read up about that tomorrow mate, sounds like a bit of a weird feature if true, don't like the idea of not having airbags even if it is only for one journey.
