Can press the remote, indicators flash, alarm activated But have to lock doors manualy with key just wondering if its a simple case of whipping out the old & diy replacement of a new one (same part number) or leave it to a garage, Also is there a slighter better upgraded part to last longer...

I have heard people say 'it is a sealed unit & manufacturers intended the oil in the gearbox to last the life of the car' etc But my logic tells me surely it gets cruddy and/or broken down over time Im doing another 'engine' oil change soon, so wondered if its worth doing a 'gearbox' oil...

Why all of a sudden does the wurring noise (that has allways been there for a short time after unlocking) stay on for longer now ? I thought it had something to do with central locking or boot unlock/ cd changer, even fuel pump ! but when i get as close as i can to the noise its between the...
