I know it's in the wrong section really but I only ever used to post in here and a lot of people know me so...
Been badly let down by a mate and I have a passenger ride going.
The overnight Hull to Rotterdam Ferry, accommodation at Spa (2 nights) and return ferry are all paid for!
All...
This has been discussed before but I always found my S3 wheel lacking, it just wasn't chunky enough and I feel it let down the feel and quality of the rest of the interior.
For obvious reasons the relationship between you and your steering wheel is a very tactile one, and for me that is...
As subject, might be selling a brand new Peloquin diff that hasn't even arrived yet. Just gauging interest at this point.

Would anyone know if S3/TT nearside and offside driveshafts are identical?
If they are identical, would a N/S front wheel drive driveshaft from say an LCR be the same?
I've been told it's just a matter of removing the transfer box and bolting a sealing plate over the aperture to block the oilway.
Can anyone shed any light on EXACTLY what's involved?
Reduced to £685 for a quick sale!

Just with a single set of disks though to keep the carriage costs down.
Bargain!
A quick couple of snaps of my new LCR and also some of the River Dance cargo ship that was beached near to where I live, looks quite dramatic in real life.

Well, the S3 has gone, watched it drive off up my road with it's new owner at the wheel, felt pretty emotional which I have never been apart from one other car.
It's gone to a good home, a fellow dub enthusiast from bonny Scotland, not too far from Glen.
In it's place he left a shiny red...
I've thought about it before but my hand has been forced somewhat so I really need to get a slightly larger car with 5 doors :(
So, if anyone is interested in this well sorted S3 in it's current form then give me a shout otherwise I'll return it to standard (But still with Revo, clutch and...

Selling it as a Facelift 225bhp.
The only thing I can see is facelift front and rear lights and gearknob, otherwise it's clearly a pre-facelift 210bhp version, year 2000.
Also he says that...
It's actually mine but thought a shamless plug was in order ;)

I think I'm getting itchy feet again...
Partly prompted by the urge to move onwards and upwards (newer) and partly because 8L S3's are long in the tooth now...
I will miss it, I was one of the people who DID try out Glens recommendations and loved it, we must have very similar driving...

In an effort to reduce the unsprung weight and overall weight in general, I am looking into some much lighter wheels.
Reading some sites listing wheel weights and other discussions, it seems OZ Superleggara's may be a good choice. They roughly weigh in 10-15Ilbs lighter than replica 18"...
Already posted in the S3 (8L) section sorry, I only seem to go in there :)

There are murmurings of a Sringtime trip to the Ring over on uk-mkivs.net...
Stormy (South Manchester Scoobies) over on uk-mkivs.net is also organising a trip on the second bank holiday weekend.
For planning purposes it might be worth using Stormys trip, see link below (the Euro Combo...
