I’ve also been reading that on some Audi models, there is a bleed hole on the heater matrix pipe? Does anyone know if this exists on the 8V?

Thanks for the reply. I just checked the heater matrix pipes this morning, the top one is hot but the bottom one not so much. I’m going to just bite the bullet and buy a new matrix and fit it myself

Thanks for the reply. Im bringing the car back to them in the morning so i will ask them about what oil they have used. Im pretty sure they have just used 5w30 as normal.

They changed out the oil pressure sensor (with a 3rd party one) but it’s still happening. VCDS shows this fault

So it’s very consistent. It’s always when the engine oil temp is 85 degrees or above, always after I’ve been driving for a bit and then come to a stop and the car is idling

Thanks for the reply! The head is off and currently off getting skimmed etc. in the engine shop. I’d like to think that they will advise. To be fair, the mechanics are decent and are doing everything to put this right. I’ll say it to them about the cylinder. They reckon it was unscathed
