No….I enlarged the existing round hole beside the washer but made sure it would still be covered by the cap….this provides enough ‘access space’ to file the racket teeth slightly.

Yes….I didn’t any further than sticking a triangular file in and honing the ratchet teeth though as I couldn’t / didn’t have time to get the holding washer off that’s in your picture.
I ended up drilling a large hole (covered by the round cover) to gain better access.

Yup same here in the S4. Tried the same as you and it mad a difference but still annoying.
I’m hopefully going down the recaro PP route this year which by all accounts are a bit narrower width wise.

I fitted a TQS half leather recaro saloon interior into my avant with no issues on the fronts and just a tweak to the rear seats locking mechanism and pivot point. If yours is ‘like for like’ then it’s very very simple. More or less plug and play.

Yes...the software can freely be downloaded but the cable is what costs. There are other generic systems which can read VCDS but they’re not as functional.
