It is a pain, but I have a professional welder in the family. Plus the current panel is in very poor condition and will need a fair amount of filler and work. Would rather get a new panel and start with a clean base. Thanks for advice so far.

Had the exact same problem mate, but wedging a screwdriver in the top hole next to the pedal above where the switch goes allowed me to lever it over no problems.
There is an under tray but only a few screws to remove, usual spanner for sump plug. Buy a metal one from Audi if you need to. May need a tool to remove the filter lid, I just used some large grips.
My 110 is separate EGR to intake its an AHF. Just done this today and blanked it off, my god the egr was literally full of gunk. cleaned it out along with the mani and its like driving a new car again.
First initial thought was the wheel bearing but it doesn't seem to making any noise that's usually associated with knackered bearing. Was going to have a look today but so far all its done is **** it down!
Hi all, looked but couldn't find similar symptoms from anyone else so here goes...
My rear drivers side is knocking and the knocking is constant and dependent on the wheel speed almost in time with the wheel revolution. So going slower=slower knock etc.
Any ideas of things to look for...
