I have FK Highsport coilovers on mine, and they are a pile of crap, the ride is terrible on the road. I am going to replace them with these as I have been told these are quite good for the money...
Hi, Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I am looking for a sports cat and wondered if your friend sells them and if you know whether they are any good and will pass the mot. Cheers!
I have temporarily fixed it with electrical tape until I can do a proper job tomorrow when I am off work. I think I am going to have to make the wire a bit longer so it is not sitting on top of the block below the charge pipe where it has got really brittle due to the heat.
Thanks for that. The top of my engine bay is clear. nothing on it except for coil packs and they are the 2 ltr coil packs I put in the other day. I will get a picture up to show you
Thanks for that tuffty, I just replaced the fuse and it temporarily worked and then blew again. So I put anther 10amp fuse in and it blew again straight away!!
Any ideas why both fuses would blow straight away?
Sorry, but I probably didn't explain very well. The N249 valve was deleted before I had the car, so that is why I am thinking the dodgy N75 valve is solely to blame for both codes.
when out in my S3 the other day I noticed there was no descent power, as if the turbo doesn't kick in at all. I run VCDS and got these 2 codes, 17955, which says to check the N75 valve and 17697, which says to check the N249 valve.
The N249 valve has been deleted, so I am presuming the problem...
I fitted a 42 Draft design catch can on my golf and it is simple enough, you just need to take the metal tray off the inlet manifold so you can get access to the pcv pipe work and rip it all out, I presume it is the same or very similar on the S3 to the golf. The catch can pipe work only goes to...
I have found a picture of an S3 engine which has the reservoir on it, and mine doesn't, so it has been definitely done! So my next mod is going to be the coil packs and a catch can, then I should be alright for a bit...hopefully lol
Thanks mate. This is what I am going to order http://www.awesomegti.com/car/audi/s38l/ecs-tuning-1-8t-to-2-0t-coil-pack-conversion-kit
I think the N249 has been deleted on my S3, not 100% sure though. I did the job on my golf and it did make it a bit better. Does the S3 APY engine have a vacuum...
I am not sure about the S3 ones, but here is a link to Eurocarparts prices http://www.eurocarparts.com/fuel-pump.
Funny enough the fuel pump went on my Golf on Niki's rolling road, but luckily was able to get one from TPS and had it delivered there, it cost me about £169 iirc.
The man who...
My S3 easily achieves 265bhp without much effort.
Yes Niki is brilliant and a really honest guy, as well as very reasonably priced too. In fact the previous owner of my S3 went to R-Tech twice, the first time the fuel pump wasn't up to the job, so Niki sent him home and told him to replace the...
Thanks for replying to my post. I decided to order another S2000 filter from Euro today because the one that is on my S3 looks pretty dirty. When I got there to pick it up, they brought out a flat panel filter!! They didn't have the proper one and messed up the part numbers...again. In the 4...
My S3, which is an APY engine has had a stage 2 R-Tech remap. I didn't get it done myself, but I bought it with all the mods and remap already done by the previous owner. The mods are: Forge 007 DV, Toyo front mount intercooler, Brand new genuine exhaust manifold. Relentless 3 inch down pipe and...
