I have this noise and I’m 4 months/3000 miles in now, doesn’t sound good but so far I’ve assumed it’s just a characteristic of the engine. Oil level is absolutely perfect so hopefully nothing to worry about.

So we finally had the weather so had the first proper day out in the RS3 this weekend. Absolutely loving it, drive and gearbox are so much better than the previous generation (you would hope so I guess), it ‘feels’ quicker, that’s maybe just a perception, certainly gets a lot of attention...

A quick question, liquid PPF, my dealer has mentioned it, thought it’s best part of £3K, does anyone have any feedback, knowledge or even experience? As a comparison what would full PPF cost for an RS3, £4-5K?

I received dealer confirmation today that the car is built and delivery into the UK is expected early March, so delivery in around 6 - 7 weeks.

Well I can confirm it is not getting built in 3 weeks, just received an email, a further 11 week delay, so BW48. On that basis they estimate that the car would arrive mid January 2023, so I’ll hold on until March 23 to register it. Not much else to say really……..

Like quite a few I have just about reached my 1 year anniversary from order placement (no card, no cake) the last update that I received from the dealer was over 6.5 months ago, that update was the car being built BW37, which is now 3 weeks away, since then there have been no further updates...

Build Week update, it has moved from WK46 to WK37 so some improvement, another one or two of those would be nice.

Another of my concerns is that my current S4 cannot hold onto it’s inflated value for much longer, I had planned to p/ex it against the RS3 based on the original lead time of March & get some good equity back, but by the end of the year, no chance, so this increases my cost to change.
