As the title says, bought these a while ago and took them off my b7 when I sold it.
Easy upgrade for a a4 with 330mm brakes, just need these and a set of s4 discs to go up to 345mm brakes.

The car had the h&r springs all-round when I bought it, the rear was sagging so changed them for kyb standard sline springs.
So the cars had the h&r springs on the front since I bought it over 3 years ago.
Changed the ARB drop links when we did the full arm kit too.
I just did the front strut...
No it happens at any steering angle, way before I would get to full lock, its when the weight of the car transfers from one side to the other. It can happen with only slight steering if I'm going around a fast corner.
It's only ever came from the passanger side footwell, as far as I can tell...
Stock s line springs on the rear and h&r -45mm front springs so it has equal arch gap front to rear.
We had it off the ground and checked everything we could when we replaced all the front arms but couldn't replicate the noise.
The noise doesn't happen while I'm stationary if I turn full lock...
Yes the only thing that was changed before the noise started were both front wheel bearings. They were changed a long time before this noise started though and have been checked since.

This problem happened before and after I've done the arms so it can't be linked to them.
Yes Rob, sorry I forgot to mention I had both front axles off to replace the CV boots while I did all the arms a few weeks ago.
* Just edited the original post to include taking the axles off.

Hi guys
Hopefully someone has been in this situation and can help me out with some suggestions.
I've got a b7 3.0tdi quattro Avant with 145k.
I've got a noise coming from my car when turning either left or right, it's as the weight is transferred. I would describe it as a clunk/knock.
It...
As far as I can remember you can retrofit a sunglasses holder to replace the drivers door grab handle (above head) I haven't done it myself but my dad's vw transporter has one fitted as standard.

I decided to change it as the header tank was very discoloured so changed that at the same time, past owner had mixed different types of coolants, it wasn't a very nice colour either. My heating is almost too good after the coolant change haha! I hope you manage to find the problem, it seems to...
I've got the exact car and did this a couple of weekends ago, don't want to scare you but it ended up being a pig of a job for me. Their are 3 official drain points on this engine, the lower front left of the rad (looking at the car) but the upper radiator hose, and two others that honestly are...
You should have a list of option codes in your original manual with the car or on a sticker in the spare wheel well , then use the pr search on vagplannet and one of the codes will tell you if the car had a dpf fitted from the factory.

I would say just tune the 2.0tdi tbh, no problem with getting power out of it. That's coming from a 3.0tdi owner. Easier if you ever needed to sell it too.

I've just done this job on my 3.0tdi, no harm in changing the water pump but it's not under as much tension as any of the belt driven engines e.g 1.9tdi. The main reason they are changed every time with the belt on other engines is that if it goes it effects the timing of the engine and can...
I have this problem too, I was told it was a bad earth to the rnse unit I have, tried manually earthing it while I had it out but still had the same problem.
Do you have the Bose system in your car?

I’m guessing he is talking about the 1.4tsi engine that has a timing chain, belts have completely different service schedules.

They are completely different models of engine to the car this post is about, you will be better starting a new thread in the relevant place to have more chance of a member helping you with this.

The carriers I bought were from a s4 and I still had the issue, hopefully you have more luck and don’t need to change the callipers.

I have the 320mm brakes 1LA fitted to my car and I bought some s4 carriers from America to change to the 345mm discs, they fitted but I had to remove the splash guards and the calliper rubbed on the disc a bit to much for my liking.
I’m sure I have heard that the s4 callipers have a little...
