Do A3 2.0 Turbo Diesels have a Diverter Valve? I ask because i can hear what i think is chatter when letting the throttle off. I had this exact noice on my S3 and replacing the DV solved the problem. This is the first diesel i have ever worked on, or owned so unsure. The car feels fine...

Costing me £250 to respray the bumper, bonnet, and blow the wings in. Friends price. And i knocked £450 off the sale price to allow for the respray.. Keeping the S3 would cost me an extra £40 a week in fuel. So think the move was a justified move.

Quick update, will put more details and pcs up later. Advertised in Auto trader for £5250, paid £4800 for it. Only faults found were very bad stone chips on bumper and bonnet, and bald rear tyres. Car booked in for front end respray. Spec: 2.0L DTI 140 Sport. Full leather Full Mot, little tax...

Yes i still read all updated posts. I just disconnected the pipes on the back of the MC and let it drain out, whilst i was removing the clutch pedal. I had to remove the large metal intercooler pipe, and the heat shield on the bulk head to access the MC. But it is still a tight squeeze I...

Has anyone used 10-40w Petronas oil. I have aquired a few litres and been told it is a high quality oil. Would you say yes or no to using it in a 2000 model S3, that has done 99k miles?

Previous mark_sarah I bled my whole clutch system without a pressure bleeding system, and mine is fine. Pump the pedal loads, foot flat to the floor, release the pressure out of the bleed nipple, you need to do this several times to ensure all air is removed. Put a pipe on the nipple though...

I did'nt need to, but it made it more fiddly.
