It should be located in the spare wheel tool store (the grey / black insert in the spare wheel). It is a small grey box about 4" x 2" x 3"

You can buy these Genuine Audi Accessory Rear Window Blinds, 4B9064362, but unlike the factory fit models these sit on the top of the door trim. These co-incidently cost £75 so I think these are what you where quoted.

I had a Bosal Removable unit fitted to my previous A6. It fitted perfectly behind the bumber trim, and the removable tow ball fitted in the spare wheel well. I also had the 13 pin electrics fitted as per Audi factory fit - it swung down, from the fitting again making it invisible when not in use.
