Having a guess it maybe down to issues with a relay? Front and rear washer pump just stops working without this tapping, it seems there is no power going through. I don't think it's down to wires being brittle/worn as it didn't blow out a new fuse when I tested it. Would you suggest anything else?

It seems this is some sort of dodgy workaround to get it working by the previous owner, but I'm not too comfortably in keeping it this way. I tried replacing the fuses, but the wipers stop working when I do or remove this fuse tap. Fuse 42 (15amp/Dual Washer Pump) seems to be tapping into Fuse...

Did you replace the door modules, and code each door when retrofitting?

Possibly Possibly Rear Crankshaft seal. Tho need to track down the root cause, as it could be number of things.

Just fitted the new folding mirrors, but having trouble with the coding. Door modules have also been replaced with the switches, and other parts required. However, I'm a bit confused on how to code it using OBDeleven. I've changed the coding from '00068' to '0004096', but can't get the mirrors...

I'm not sure what you mean by tow & ultrasonics, but I had installed this door switch which I believe has folding mirror option, is this sufficient or needs upgrading? At the moment I'm looking for facelift power folding mirrors with indicators on ebay, but don't know if there are any difference...

I hear it’s pretty normal for the tfsi engines of this era. How much do new pistons usually cost? I’d imagine it’ll be a very labour intensive job, so not cheap.

Would like to do this mod as well from an 08 with tray to a 11 without tray and top bottom aluminium strips. What wire/mods do I need to retrofit this, or is it plug and play? I have a double din setup. Thanks

Believe it or not, it started working again. I guess you're right with the faulty relay, which needs replacing. Cheers.

Yeh indicators working fine, just the sound. Would you know which relay it is? thanks

Got a strange issue where when indicating Right using the stalk there is no audible sound, however Left indication sound works fine along with the hazards. The indicator lights come on the cluster and front/rear tail lights as normal, just no sound when indicating right. Any ideas? thanks

I agree, the 1.8t is no slouch by all means. I guess the Turbo lag could be considered a downside, but that's expected from all old gen turbos.
