I have a set of vw racing 4pots with 356mm two piece discs that I'm looking to get rid of. Ideally, they could use new rotors. Which is why they're cheap at £500
Put them on the front of the car, jack the car up, stick it in first, and use some 2000grit wet and dry paper on them. That'll strip any remaining laquer and get them shiny.
Then give them a coat of ceramic wheel sealant and they'll be good for winter
(Note: the above only works on fwd cars)
I'm currently looking into stroking my 1.8t and anyone who does this changes to the TFSi crank (or 2.0 cast crank from the earlier engine). I've automatically assumed its different, otherwise, why bother changing. I might be wrong. I'm sure someone will come along soon to confirm.
I read this in your readers ride, and don;t understand it.
It says the cranks are identical, which I'm pretty sure isn;t the case.
Am I reading it wrong?
Ibiza is about 200kgs lighter than an A3. Even more so if you have an S3.
A hybrid diesel Ibiza is a very quick thing though, especially through the gears
No, leave the keys at the door. That way your not on tomorrow's news because they killed you to take your car.
I love my car but strangely enough I love my family a lot more. The kinda person who breaks in while ur in isn't just an amateur opportunist who's going to be put off
Get insurance and forget about it.
If someone is willing to break into your house, while your in, to get your keys, then your better off handing them over
