Audi UK only instigated the service campaign after sustained pressure and a letter writing campaign to the then MD of Audi UK from many members on rs246.com
That resulted in a warranty extension for DRC to 5 years/75,000 miles, and a much "better" attitude to goodwill claims from Audi UK.

OK, Bose wire tells the RNS-E to enable the Bose equalisation (and disable the front speaker amps).
So disconnecting that will change the frequency response, but there's a non-destructive way to do it as well - just change the coding of the RNS-E from Bose (9) to linear (0) Audi...
What is the coding of both the BT module and the RNS-E? Sounds like you haven't coded the enhanced mode on the BT module to me.
Bad guess, the B7 uses CAN diagnostics for the engine ECUs (there are two on the RS4 at addresses 1 and 11) and for other modules on the powertrain CAN like ABS and...
Which only works with the 2010+ version of the RNS-E and not with the pre-2010 version that was factory fitted to the RS4.
I was the first person to do the 2010+ RNS-E and AMI swap (nearly 4 years ago now), proving Audi wrong (again) when they said it was impossible, and have a 250GB hard drive...
First thing we need to know which you don't say is whether you have a B5 or B7, but by inferenvce a flat bottom wheel means a B7 so I'll answer on that assumption.
No, the flat bottom wheel is not an MFSW. The + and - buttons scroll round the trip computer - they are not volume buttons.
No...
I hope you didn't have HYDROGEN - that's NOT inert, it's one of the most dangerous and explosive gases there is.
I hope you've gone for NITROGEN or HELIUM...
The clue is here "Control Module Malfunction - DBW Throttle Monitoring" - it's getting conflicting information from the throttle pedal (which is also probably the cause of the ABS error).
Check the electrical connections to the throttle pedal.
The RNS-E turns on/off with ignition by decoding messages on the CAN bus, so if it's not turning on/off then here's a problem on the CAN bus.
Do a Full VCDS scan and see what CAN bus errors get reported.
I'm almost 100% sure it will need coding to recognise the RS4 FBSW, it's not an MFSW and it has unique coding - and without changing the coding of the SCSM it's probable that the 4 buttons on the wheel (Sport, Set,+ and -) won't work and the SCSM will log a fault code.
Don't bother with a commercially available system such as Tracker and similar products - they're only installed in 1 or 2 places - which every professional thief knows - so they can be removed in minutes. Plus a professional knows how to prevent them from being able to "talk to base" - often as...
The problem with that is that the bolts secure the seat (and occupant) in the event of an accident so the bolts have to be high-tensile types as the OE ones are - unless in the event of an accident you want to run the risk of your insurer invalidating your claim because of an undisclosed safety...
GPS jammers are just as easy to buy online - and work well. A few years ago I was working for a company that made asset tracking devices for various branches of the UK government and we got permission to test an online purchased GPS jammer - it stopped all the GPS devices we had setup within a 5...
