    Is this your first car? I thought insurance was a rip off when I was 18! Best I have found is the admiral group (Admiral, Bell and Elephant) with parents as additional drivers and not primary.

    Of course they are, business is business though and they're in it to make money at the end of the day. Far too many 'claiming' that they have injuries is what is bumping it up also. My cousin is paying 3.5k on a 99 reg 1.2 Clio.

    Had my renewal through a month or two ago wanting to charge me extra at 1.3k, cancelled and moved to Admiral. New quote for the year fully comp £670 :) 22 with 3 years NCB.

    Paying 1.2k here when I got the quote. I was 21, fully comp with my sister as a named driver. Only one years no claims I think although it could be two. This is with HIC but the actual policy is with Equity Red Star.
