After polishing there would be no holograms or scratches at all. It's usualy after the first wash they reappear. Haven't washed the car in a while as it doesn't get used a huge amount so we shall see.

If your car is FWD there's no harm in swapping, it will squeeze a bit more life from the tyres.

Picked up a new car yesterday and gave her a thorough detail as it was filthy! It's a 1.9 TDI Audi A4 B6 with 160K miles on the clock. It is safe to say I got one hell of a deal, as I picked this up for £600. For a car this cheap you would expect a load of faults or no service history, etc. But...

I am also a Nilfisk fan, I purchased mine years ago for £60 too. May upgrade to the same one as you as it looks to be a definite improvement.

Got some bits ordered, hopefully the Menzerna 3800 and Flex pad will fix my woes. Felt like trying out some new detailing stuff as well.

Cheers, will pick some of those up, although they don't seem to do 5.5" flex pads which are the size I go for with the hex pads. Should I just use the 6"?

I am currently using the Menzerna polishes, I remember you previously mentioning about some better pads? I'm not overly impressed with the hex logic pads to be honest, they don't seem to last well.

I think I will probably give it another go I will probably re clay the whole car and try some new compounds and pads. I have got my eye on the koch chemie polishing kit. As far as i am aware the car has not been resprayed. It's definitely had a smart repair or two on the front & rear bumper and...
