The paintwork looks good at the end of it, what did I do wrong.
I'm not a pro, always willing to learn, but atm all youve mentioned is that srp is used by weekend warriors.
My thinking was along the lines of the srp would be the polish stage after cutting with uc.
Yeah you read it right.
The uc takes out as much of the defects as possible, the srp hides anything left and adds gloss.
Once the srp wears off, the paint underneath is still nice.
What's the issue
G3 clay mitt, megs uc using da, srp by hand, followed by simoniz original tin wax.
Gloss not the greatest, usually use turtlewax hybrid sealant, but read that the original wax is long lasting so will use the tw sealant to top up the protection next wash m
claying can/will leave marring to the paintwork, so its best to polish after, yeah.
although have clayed then straight waxed it in the past.
dont skip the wax though, claying removes all protection.
I've clayed with the blue unbranded bars and a bilthammer bar.
Imo the results were identical, if anything I preferred the blue bars as they seemed to require less work to remove contaminants
Just an update, cleaned the car yesterday for the first time since those pics were taken, so just over a month.
