I've had a S5 Coupe with diff, RS5 with diff and now S5 Sportback without. We'll have without again next time. That said this is the wife's family wagon, so not a car that sees much diff requirement.

Unless you need the space, or are desperate for the performance of the S5, go for the new A5. The new A5 interior will be a vastly superior place to sit than either the previous S5 or the A7 (which is a bit big and cumbersome). For reference we've got a S5 sportback.

Circa £3200 increase I think.

The more I see of the S5 Sportback, the more I like it. Will wait until there is a Black Edition variant and some hefty discounts then look into replacing our current one with the new one. Will get a shot of one in January hopefully to whet the appetite.

Wheels now in "Satin Matt" which is similar to the Audi titanium matt colour. Couple of quick shots, cars filthy, more to follow in a couple of weeks when I give it a good clean.

Not that recently, but we ordered our S5 Sportback in early November and it arrived at the dealer mid January.

This shouldn't ever put you off of buying a S5. If it's one of many reasons, then perhaps. Its terrible quality given, but the reality is its minor and the rest of the package is spot on and you never see it when you are in the car, or so the wife tells me..... I'll see about getting Audi to...
