@andy2502, have you performed a DSG adaptation recently? I've had my mechatronic unit repaired (not replaced) by Audi and like you, noticed some hesitancy getting into gears and had to wait before setting off or getting into reverse even after the repair.
I bought the OBDeleven reader because I...
So after having a truck take out the rear quarter of my car at the beginning of the year, then my gearbox and thermostat failing in Sept to skidding on ice in Dec, taking out my front near side headlight and bumper, wing and bonnet…
I have a question about the DSG repair kit and adaption...
Not having much luck with my car this year, a proper annus horribilis for me in respect of my car.
Anyway, will post about it in another post shortly but I noticed a few days ago that I had started my car and my rear windscreen wiper started wiping without me pushing down on the steering wheel...
Sorry to resurrect this thread but I’ve been getting a similar “TPMS Malfunction” (not pressure low/lost message) error message. Only happens once in a while, but goes away after being reset.
Was this similar to your issue @audia4kev? Do you remember how much and how difficult it wa to replace...
Nothing major, thankfully! But has anyone had issues with their rear washer jet where it just stops working?
I’ve been through three of them, the last bought a couple of years ago, I’ve tested it without the washer jet and the screen wash does get pumped out so I know it’s not the pipes and I...
A bit of an odd question because it seems most want to go the other way!
Reason for this is my B8 S4 has been hit by a truck and now my left rear outer light cluster has been destroyed. As I still need use of the car and to keep it road legal, I need the replace the light temporarily before the...
A quick one as this happened to me before but have you checked the wheel nuts are tight?
I’ve experienced something similar when someone tried to steal my alloys but must have been disturbed because they got as far as loosening the bolts!

I've always stuck with the Audi screen wash because it's recommended to prevent blocked jets, probably old news now and most screen wash will be fine! I do have the Rain-X screen cleaner that i use after a was and it does the same as the small yellow bottle. Pretty good stuff!
Thanks gents, most likely give this a miss if the general consensus is that it's not worthwhile! Shame as I could do with some additional storage and thought this might be a solution that is neat and discrete.
Sorry to revive this post but I was about to post a question if anyone had under seat storage bins as I remember having them on my S3 and my Z4 and found them useful.
Does anyone know if this has been successfully done on the S4 Supersport seats or if anyone with these seats already have them...
I’ve been using the Maxi Cosi seat protector since having a child seat fitted and not had any problems with it. What’s good about it is that it does have a strap to attach to the head rest to keep the back cover in place. It’s on Amazon now for £16.
I had this problem a couple of years ago and ended up getting this holder...

It’s pretty pricey (cheaper on Amazon) but has worked pretty well since. I adjusted the strap and using the clip can get it tight around the head rest...
I fitted a new petrol filler cap as the strap on the old one had snapped due to age. Also conditioned my front seats.
Probably will need a new battery soon as I had to call out the RAC to jump start the car after only a couple of weeks of non-use. Battery is still the original from factory...
That’s a good price you paid for those alloys, I paid £750 over two years ago with budget tyres.
They are fine on my S4 Avant with Michelin PS4 and stock suspension, no rubbing generally unless I go over a speed bump a bit faster than I should be!

How did you get on with this issue? Turns out sadly my S4 has developed similar symptoms...
@Cerbera9 of the €900 was the bulk of the cost labour? How come it failed again?

I don’t think Audi differentiates between to two schedules in terms of cost. If you decide on the long life schedule then the motor will tell you when the next service is due and it will alternate between inspection and major servicing, similar to the fixed schedule but spread over a longer...
I just tried my luck on the Audi website and to my surprise, it allowed me to purchase cover.
I had shopped around looking at third party cover and it was so expensive I thought I have nothing to lose trying Audi.

I managed to purchase the warranty when I bought my car and there was no existing warranty on it. It was £650 at the time for all component cover.
Second year i was debating whether to renew but was pleasantly surprised when it dropped to £340 so took it out again, mainly because of the fear...
