    I've been to the £1 shop again!!!

    I know - I'm really worried about all the stone chips on the bonnet and there are minor scratches (not my doing) and I need to get him seen to by a professional so I can then keep on top of the maintenance ...just waiting until I get a decent job and income ...has to happen soon ...

    :flushed: Bit concerned about the rubber gloves, kneeling pad , detailing stool and the das pro 6 polisher?!! :tearsofjoy: I think my neighbours would be concerned if I had a Sunday on the drive with all that gear :tearsofjoy:lol!!

    Hahaha!!! You have actually !! Wondering where I'm going to find a) the time b) the money c) the energy !!! The panic is setting in about whorls and scratches and I'm running out wiping bird poo off every 30 mins!!! How do people keep sane and keep a tiptop Audi haha!!!

    Thanks ....I'm still finding my feet ...just be happy to know the basics right now! Shame there aren't any Audi info courses or a local Audi owners group lol - I'm boring the life out of my work colleagues haha!

    Good lord! There's things I've never heard of before poorboys black hole?! What o earth is that??!!lol! I've used the AG polish last week but every other week demon shine. As for the cloth in the microwave - I don't get time on a morning for a coffee in the microwave let alone warm bird poo...

    Maybe I'm getting confused - i seem to do that a lot lol! When I say polish I mean wash then use demon shine /auto glym ??...is that ok? It's just that I have to park him on my drive which sees much bird action and the poop needs removing daily and I work on site where there's loads of dust and...

    Ive been advised by a colleague to use a tiny bit of copper slip around the threads - I'll also check them every time I wash and polish him - every Sunday - and I have the plastic ones in reserve lol - oh and I got some back to black in the £1 shop at the metro centre !! Yay!! Happy !!

Colleague told me peanut butter but the experience I had with that the other week was not pleasant :anguished:..had more on the upholstery, mats and in my hair than on the trim ! Gets everywhere :rage:. ...no I used that liquid shoe polish stuff...it was black ...ok...

    The Datsun sunny was my first car but it never meant as much to me as my Mk5 Cortina - 1.6L - nothing fancy and as solid as a brick (apart from the wheel arches and sills that rusted like mad!) I adored that car - spent hours messing about under the bonnet with a Haynes manual doing more damage...
