Normally its the diff itself , my old a3 had a noise problem I'm sure it was the bearings in the diff that were noisy, changing the diff for a used one is the only cure i think.

Had a 2 1/2 " custom one on my old one ,you wont need any bigger with a ko3,it made such a difference over the standand system , i cut the old one up to see the internal size ,shocked at how restrictive it was.Mated mine to a s3 milltek and it worked really well with ko3s ,fmic ,intake etc.

What colour is it,my old one sold again recently,it was for sale on pistonheads from cheshire i think.

I fitted s3 front upper and lower to my a3 quattro,it did seem a bit tighter and due to being vag parts they were quite cheap too.

Have been reading this and wishing i had kept my a3,today i saw it up for sale oh no i feel divorce coming my way lol.

I've just found a pair of front calipers off my old 2000 a3 quattro,if anybody wants them i could bring them to adi,cheers Andy

That looks easier than having one custom made as i did,nothing available when i did mine,changing the front end makes a huge difference,the standard internal bore is tiny very restrictive.Cheers Andy

I still have a scar from my exhaust,was giving it some on the way to a bike ride,stopped to get my stuff out the back,the next thing i could smell my leg being melted by the tailpipe,hurt like feck it did.Seems to grow by an inch or more when driven hard.

Its a straight swap,apart from changing the turbo intake pipe as the ko3s has a slightly larger diameter,a forge one is the better option,as the oem alloy one is not the best for flow.A ko3s will give you more top end instead of running out of puff at 5000 rpm,other mods and mapping will...

It was a one off,i was hoping we could have got a kit made up(my mates were already using him to make ibiza kits),but due to the amount of trimming required to the bumper and front panel we decided not to bother.So if the guy would do another one not sure how much he would charge,mine was cheap...

Top piping,dv piping is going to change to cold side set up which will look neater.Pipe run is much cooler ie not over exhaust manifold(good design or what?)as original,so original sh*t metal pipe can be removed,also pipe run is as short as possible so not to introduce lag.Temps on a day with...
