It might not be a bose sub, I have one in the back of my car as its not bose As far as I know, if it has an audi emblem on it its not bose, if it has 'bose' on it then its obviously bose.

If it is possible to fit then i would look around scrap yards. Last month I saw a smashed up A3 similar to mine (pre face lift though) at a local scrapy, front was ruined but the back was fine, seats/boot etc, so may be worth having a look around for a real bargain!

I went to basingstoke audi a few weeks ago to get a part exchange price, they offered me 4.5k for my a3 (I bought it in october for 6750!), and its still in excellent condition with only 40k miles on the clock. I think part-ex'ing or going to audi is a waste of time. They were rude to me...

Unfortunately I don't have a CD changer cable in my car atm, so next weekend I will be taking off my glovebox and inside panels to install the cable nice and snugly! Once that is done it should just be as simple as plugging in :)

I could (and am probably am!) wrong about this, but I heard that its caused by perfume that gets sucked in, goes 'off' then re-circulates. Even if its not true, at least you can blame your g/f lol

I ended up changing my car from longlife to normal service and got a full 40k service last week for 180.

Main dealers i got quoter about 380 for my 40k service Vag specialist near me quoted 150 today.
