    The gear stick could also be an issue with the linkage on top of the gear box, pop the bonnet and give it a visual.. see if it moves freely

    My old S3 used to do this sometimes on tight bends when trying to accelerate, once you straightened the car up it would be fine, didn't always do it though, I just put it down to the nature of the car, my mates S3 used to do the same, never caused any other issues though.

    No not normal, could be tires, bushes suspension etc, difficult to say exactly what the issue is but you shouldn't be on tender hooks in the wet at average speeds.

    Winter tyres

    As good as winter tyres are I've never felt the need to have them on the S3 the past 7 years, even in the bad snow we had a 3 or 4 years ago, sensible driving and she's coped really well.

    OE Standard Floor Mats for the S3

    I bought 2 new fronts last year from the dealer, had to be ordered in, cost £45 for 2 fronts. Just rang the same dealer to see if they've been discontinued and the guy said they can be ordered in no problem. I'd try another dealer if you want oem mats.
