my old a3 did this, as did my brothers Mk4. The source of the problem on both has been the seal under the pollen filter housing. It is prone to perishing on both models and the easiest fix is to take the filter housing off and use silicone around the old spongy seal. To dry the cars out...

I've seen an a3 knocking about with them on and think they look quite nice tbh. If you like them, get them....It would be boring if we were all driving round on rs4 reps wouldnt it??? To get them looking their best though you will need to sort you ride hight out.

Sorry to hear it mate....this thread has brought back bad memories for me. I used to have an a3 and the cambelt snapped on that. You would know if it had snapped by the noise it makes. It had never happened to me before but I knew instantly what had happened, as it# sounded like a clockwork...
