My 8l had 112k on when sold it, drove perfect and sounded great with the jetex on. I've got a 8p with 52k now but seriously still miss the fun of driving the 8l and looks.
I've had 2 8p's current one is solar orange love the the 8p for its interior greater power and it's newer obviously. But I've had 3 8l's and the looks of the body on them is still to this day one of the best looking in my eyes and you really feel that your driving the 8l, as has been said I'd...
Each to there own opinion m8, I haven't had an 8l for donkeys so no need for a DV, when I had one the 007p I was always told was better. If it's now been found not to be then stick with the standard obviously. U can pick yellow spring ones up for £45 on fleebay or u could as I said not needed to...
You should've just put a 007p DV on it, a lot more reliable than the standard an only £20-30 more. You may even find one on eBay for cheaper, if I'd have seen ur post earlier I had a standard one off my old S3 you could've had for nowt.

Definite boost leak, check all inter cooler pipes and all the boost pipes that are above and around the manifold these are very common for leaking. An as above it should definitely be running 270-275 if its mapped with front mount intercooler..
Like I say never drove a ep3 so I wouldn't know what they drive or go like, only seen and been in an around my mates 54 plate one which he sold an then regretted it saying its the best car he's had..
