Ive got similar symptoms and the lubricating the pedal end didnt work :-(. I have found a crack in one of the hoses though where there appears to be some sort of valve.

It's been a bit of a pain so far tbh and requires a few tools I didn't have despite a pretty well stocked tool cabinet. 10mm spline socket, long straight 6mm Allen key and a 14mm allen key for the gearbox drain and fill.
I've been taking my time and I'm about 6 hours in over 3 small shifts...
Got the clutch off tonight. My newly purchased 12 spline socket doesn't reach the flywheel bolts so thats not coming off tonight:-(.
Took some pics and video. Will try and post up later.
Thanks. The clutch only slipped twice for very short periods of time under peak torque up a hill. After that, I took it easy and it hadn't slipped since bur will inspect for heat damage and try to do some reading about tolerances.
I'll take a look at gsf. Previously been looking at euro car...
Hi guys,
I experienced some clutch slip a few months back and more recently the bite in the pedal got higher and higher to the point it was almost at the top of the travel.
After following one of the guides online, I've eventually managed to remove the box but unsure how to diagnose if the...
Misfire didnt follow when i swapped injectors, but it did when i swapped coil packs. Error code jumped from cylinder 1 to 2!! PHEW!!!
Are audi still replacing coil packs FOC these days? Its a 2002 51plate S3 BAM.
Hi guys,
I removed my injectors the other day to temporarily fit them in another car, which it turned out they werent needed. When i was removing them, some / all of the fuel rail petrol dripped into one of the cylinders (furthest left if standing in front of the car). All happened quite...
Hi guys,
Does anyone know if the passenger side engine / gearbox mount needs to be dropped to get access to change the timing belt?
My timing belt was replaced a few months back and im wondering if the garage forgot to tighten / refit the mount properly,or its come loose by itself, or its...
Just doing my bushes today and the bolt that goes through the front wishbone, rear bush seems to be a rattling fit even in the new bush. Is this right, or should it be a tight fit around the bush! Has the previous owner used the wrong bolt perhaps?
Nick
Hi guys,
I'm led to believe that there are a few options here. Replace the alloy arms with cheapo steal jobbies, replace just the bushes (how many each side?), or the replace the entire wishbones.
What do most folks go for, what are the costs involved for each, anyone tried a local motor...
Econ button on, air con compressor off, slight fuel saving and very slim power gain.
However, iirc, when fuel throttle is used, the power is cut to the compressor allowing max bhp to the wheels.
sounds like you got a bit of a bargain at £7.5k! As said above, give the car a really good going over before you accept it back, then get some pics up!
