by the sounds of it you are referring to the level sensor and its linkage to the lower suspension arm? if so sounds like you need a new sensor and linkage mate. sensor iirc is about £80 from audi and the linkage is about £15 also audi.

It is subtle but I wouldnt say it isn't noticable. At least on mine at night you get a great red glow on the back of your hand as you change gear/stereo etc. Also reflects nicely on the markings on the top of the gear knob. Did you know they dim with your dash lights? perhaps yours are set lower?

The 3 was remapped and was pretty hot. When we picked it up my mate was driving the S3 and we had a quick blast on one section of motorway. The 3 was pulling away from the 4. not a lot in it but not what i expected to be honest.
