Just get the oem oil from Audi. It's not expensive and the original stuff has been fine for the past what, ten years? Off the top of my head the gearbox front trans is 75w/90 GL5 spec and the rear diff is SAE90 spec? better double check though.

When we were logging it was consistently making good boost pressure on every run apart from when it kicked in the max boost press exceeded and went to limp home mode, what are you suspecting regarding doing the pressure test?
